Our belief
Sacred Heart Sanctuary is an interfaith space for people of all faiths and none. We honour a God of each person’s own understanding and make room for different beliefs about the continuing life of the soul.
Through ceremonies, spiritual development, healing, learning and soul-doula support, we accompany people through life’s transitions—from welcome and celebration to grief, dying and remembrance. Throughout the year, we offer courses in spiritual healing and Reiki, alongside opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.
We value equality, compassionate living and personal responsibility. We aim to offer a safe, respectful place where people can grow in confidence and explore what has meaning for them.
We honour a God of each person’s own understanding.
We believe life moves in cycles.
We recognise death as a sacred transition.
We encourage personal responsibility and compassionate living.
Meet the people
Sacred Heart Sanctuary supports ordained wedding ministers who carry our values into their own communities. Each minister operates independently while upholding our shared ethos of inclusivity and presence. Sacred Heart Sanctuary is the authorising body for our authorised marriage celebrants.

Learn with us

Develop the knowledge and confidence to create and conduct personal wedding ceremonies. The next course begins in February 2027, with sessions on the second Sunday of each month.
A six-session course in creating and delivering meaningful funeral and memorial ceremonies with care for families and the person who has died. The next course begins in February 2027.
Explore the role of a death doula and learn ways to offer steady, compassionate support to people and families approaching the end of life.
This six-month course meets twice a month for two hours each session. We’ll begin with the foundations of meditation and build your confidence as you develop your own practice. We’ll also explore trance space and talk through meditation together.
We’ll cover good circle boundaries and the “what ifs” that may come up when holding a circle. As part of the course, you’ll have the opportunity to hold a circle at Sacred Heart Sanctuary. Being available on a Sunday afternoon is essential.
12 sessions · 24 hours of learning and practice
Fee: £500 for Sacred Heart Sanctuary members · £650 for non-members
Bridging training for experienced celebrants and ministerial learning are also available. We can help you find the right pathway for your experience.
Dates, fees and entry requirements can vary by course. Get in touch and we’ll send you the current information and talk through what would suit you.

Death doula care
A death doula offers practical, emotional and spiritual companionship for someone nearing the end of life and for the people around them. Support is shaped around the person, their wishes and what matters to their family.
Grief support
Grief has no set timetable and can affect every part of life. You don’t need to find the right words before reaching out.
Cally offers a calm, one-to-one space to talk, remember and explore what may help. She can draw on a range of tools from her work and experience, including mindfulness, Reiki, spiritual support and quiet reflection. Each conversation is shaped around you, at your pace, and you can choose what feels right.
Ask about grief supportDrum birthing is a creative, meaningful process of welcoming a drum of your own. It can offer space for intention, reflection and connection through making and rhythm.
